Roy & Nancy Coolman
Roy has been a small animal veterinarian for 42 years with a surgical referral practice for the last twenty. Nancy has been a homemaker and piano teacher. They have 4 children and 12 grandchildren. They have been called to minister in Ethiopia with Project Mercy to develop and expand a dairy cattle breeding program.
MILK & HONEY
A love for Ethiopia was placed in our hearts after an Ethiopian refugee became a part of our family 26 years ago. On our recent trip (July 2006) we saw continuous confirmation that this is where God wanted to use us. The goals are to artifically inseminate selected local cattle with Jersey semen to produce heifers to be placed with local farmers, train the farmers in animal husbandry, forage production, and nutrition. Dairy cooperatives and processing plant facilities will be developed to impact the people economically, nutritionally and spiritually as we live out the gospel.

RETIRED OR REFIRED?
We will be working with Project Mercy, a holistic ministry started by Demi and Marta (a former senator in Haile Selassie's government) who escaped when the communists overthrew the government 30+ years ago. They returned 14 years ago to build a school, a fifty bed hospital, skills training facilities and agricultural programs that have significantly affected the people economically, nutritionally, medically and spiritually.

11/6/2008Dear Roy and Nancy, It was good to read your latest newsletter. It reminded us how blessed we are. We pray you will be able to get the harvest in in time. It brings the Scripture to mind about the harvest being ready, and praying the Lord of the harvest will send forth laborers into the harvest. Should we also be praying for some sort of harvesting equipment? We send our love.Pat and Joanie
