Drs. Paula and Tim Ulrich
Tim and Paula met at Kansas State University in a Navigator Bible study. Their friendship through vet school provided encouragement and accountability as they both led Bible studies and encouraged their classmates to consider God's role in their lives. They married after Tim's graduation in 1992. They practiced in IA and NC until 2000, when they moved to Uganda for a 2-year term. They returned and settled in NC in 2002. They have 3 children--Logan, age 14; Rebecca, age 12; Micah, age 10.
EQUIPPING THE NATIONS
Drs. Paula and Tim Ulrich arrived at North West University in June 2008. Paula is a volunteer lecturer in Animal Health program of North West University and chief veterinarian of the University Small Animal Hospital. She teaches students in both the Diploma (3-year) and Degree (4-year) programs. She has opportunities to mentor and encourage the students and also to share the love of Christ through campus Bible studies. Tim continues to homeschool the children and provide administrative support for the project.

LET THE RIVER FLOW
Psalm 2:8
"Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possessions."

Paula and Tim hope to carry the message of God's Infinite Grace and Love for South Africa. Through involvement with the students and faculty and a local church, they hope to encourage and equip all to tap into the fullness of God's River of Grace and to walk out their their faith as Christ lives through and empowers them.

Mmabatho/Mafikeng is about 3 hours straight west of Johannesburg and lies about 20 miles from the Botswana border. We will live in University housing about 15 minutes from the campus. This last picture shows our house and garage (and cattle.)

We are eager to hear about her trip and see more pictures of all of you when she returns. God bless all of you, and especially Logan and Becca as they begin the wonderfully exciting world of High School! Certainly a big time in all of our lives. We are so proud of all of you. 5/8/2009Just read the most current news letter. What an amazing job you did Becca! You may have a permanent job! By the way, where are you in the family picture at the top of this page? And, who is that nearly grown woman standing by your mom? God's blessings on all of you -- we pray for you often. Much love.Aunt Janice
5/2/2009During our evening devotions your news letter came up. It made me think about the begining of our mission and meeting you all in Seattle. My daughter Lisa posted something on Facebook saying that she isn't sure if the year went fast or slow... maybe a little of both she concluded. It has been a wonderful year of leaning on the Lord for so many different parts of our lives. Love you all.Ann Pederson
