Dr. Scott & Mrs. Diane Karper - Honduras
Dr. Scott Karper is doing animal health care education in the mud hut village of Guadalupe Carney, about 5 miles from Trujillo, on the north coast of Honduras. Villagers finally received their land titles after 5 years of squatting on the land in a large land reform movement. They were given cows thru HPI and other similar groups, but needed training and on-going supervision and guidance, so asked for help from CVM. Scott and Diane are living with the people, and responding to their needs, therefore many new projects have grown alongside of the veterinary ministry. Diane is involved in micro-enterprise with the villagers and others in the area.

They will also have daily opportunities to share and teach about Jesus with them. They are also working closely with Mexico Medical Missions, which has built a hospital in the area. Our work will be to do animal education in the rural areas, develop a drip irrigation project to help during the drought times and begin some animal projects for the dormitories.

Dr. Don & Mrs. Marilyn Wilson - Bolivia
Don's work involves a holistic ministry working in a remote area of Bolivia with the indigenous people. He is seconded by CVM to a mission project known as GATHER (Gospel, Agriculture, Technology, Health, Education & Resources).  The mission owns 20 hectares (50 acres) where research and development of the land is being done to teach the poor families in the area how to utilize their small plots of ground to be able to support and feed their families. The project is presently raising fish, producing eggs, and growing garden products.  Poor nutrition is a major problem and the training programs hopefully will help elevate some of the problem. Marilyn does volunteer work at the Christian Learning Center in Santa Cruz and also is involved with an orphanage in Santa Cruz.
