Helping Others Pursue Eternity
We are Troy and Rebekah Sammons from Modesto, California. Over the past few years God has bent our hearts toward Kenya and we are excited to move our family to serve with CVM in Nakuru, Kenya. Thank you for your support. God Bless
ROHI Children's Organization Nakuru, Kenya
CVM is sending Troy and Rebekah to Nakuru, Kenya to live and serve for 3 years with an organization called ROHI. ROHI is named after YAWEH Rohi meaning the Lord is my Shepherd found in Psalm 23. ROHI’s primary role is to provide love, shelter and education to orphaned boys and girls that would otherwise live on the streets in Nakuru, or in homes unable to care for them. Troy will use his veterinary background to work in several capacities. The first role will be to manage onsite dairy and poultry projects for the nutritional needs of the children. The second will be to provide animal husbandry education and hands on experience for the ROHI students. Third and the most extensive will be to develop animal projects within the communities and families that the students come from. Rebekah’s role will continue as a mom to our girls Dakota and Kate.

2/5/2010Congratulations on your beautiful baby. She will be proud of her Kenyan birth and proud of you for the "super-glue" work you are doing to help the people of Kenya in their development. You have experienced, first hand, the creativity and resourcefulness Africans exhibit just to be able to manage life. As you are teaching them, they will be teaching you. Thanks so much for being willing to share your gifts and lives with the people and needs of Kenya. Being the hands and feet of Jesus is never easy - but is always a great adventure and blessing. Love and blessings, Gloria and JohnJohn and Gloria Marshall
1/19/2010Hey you guys Was just praying for you and thinking what a miracle it is that a young family such as yours would find themselves a world away serving the Lord with your very own special gifts that He has blessed you with. As a grandparent can't help but feel for your parents as they look at their family so far away and the pain of not seeing you on a regular bases and yet being comforted in knowing you are doing Gods will. It can be a contradiction in our spirits. The pictures are so very wonderful. May the Lord walk with you in every moment of every day. A friend just told me that he throws his car keys under the bed when he comes home. When he gets down on his knees to pick them up he's reminded to pray, thoguht that was cool. BlessingsWayne & Diane Evans
