Drs. Trent and Tabitha Cox
Trent and Tabitha met while attending Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. They graduated in 1999, and practiced for 2 years in CA. Though neither of them ever dreamed of doing mission work, as they began to avail themselves to the Lord and seek His good and perfect will, God began changing the desires of their hearts. They moved to Ethiopia in August 2001, where they have served ever since.
Ministry in Ethiopia
The Coxes live among the Banna in a little village called Alduba. Through veterinary medicine, they are able to meet a felt need among the numerous semi-nomadic pastoralist tribes in Southwest Ethiopia. Their veterinary skills provide a platform by which they, along with local church leaders, have been able to enter new communities and minister in both word and deed. They are now targeting the last three unreached people groups in this small corner of the world.

2/9/2012I believe you have been in contact with my wife about FOVC in Shanto. I would very much like to talk with you about how we can work together to bring veterinary care to the village of Shanto and the surrounding area. I plan on returning sometime this year and if you have returned perhaps we can meet and discuss something that will be mutually beneficial. Please contact me at valeyvet@alpinecom.net. Thank you.Ryan Buitenwerf

1/3/2011Hello from Caddo Mills Tex. We enjoy keeping up with your family and your work thru John and Joyce.I am in the process of gathering info about both of you, with Joyce's help. We are members of Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall( Trent you know the mega church on I30)our pastor Steve Stroope was in Addis in Dec talking to a church about partering with them, for some reason it did not work out. After church I told him about your work and he ask for more info, (so you know what busy bodies Joyce and I are)so I will get as much info in Steve Stroope's hands and we will hope something works out for you.I keep pushing Joyce about their trip to see you, if she does not get on the plane, I guess Dan and I will take her place with John.I will carry you in my heart and send hugs from God's Country-CADDO MILLS TEXASDan and Mary Sue Farr {parents of Keith Farr)
7/19/2010Loved your last letter. Said hi to Gus today at church, but need to talk to your Mom and Aunt Sue now that they're home. How wonderful they got to spend time with all of you. Your ministry is life changing, and I'm blessed to be a part of what you're doing to share the love of God. With prayers of gladness, CarlaCarla Maines
1/7/2010We love you guys and are always eager to hear how you're doing!Russ and Chris Llewellyn
1/6/2010Happy New Year to the Cox family, it sounds as though the return to Ethiopia has gone well. We are sure your Lily will be the apple of everyone's eye and be used of the Lord to open conversations with the people. Children have such a universal language and appeal, no wonder scripture says we must become as little children. We are at the other end of life, dealing with my 93 year old mother who is failing and trying to figure out what is best for her. She knows the Lord so when he calls her home we will good with that. Thank you for your insightful letters, you let us see your hearts. Love, Jim and Marge PerryJim and Marge Perry

Love, Jon and CheriCheri Peterson
3/13/2009I have been thinking of you and praying for you. I always enjoy your newsletters and the stories that your share. We have been living in Houston for over 6 months now and I work with several A&M grads. It makes me think of you guys and how you followed God's call to something that was very different from what you had planned. Thank you for your faithful example of following God.Luanne Nightingale
